WELCOME to E. N. Light's (Elayne Scott Neal's) spiritual website. This is a comprehensive autobiographical website detailing my spiritual path, the people and books who influenced me, and the creative works that flowed during the past 46 years that include writings, photography, poetry, and higher consciousness images with sayings. The writings cover articles, discourses, booklets, books, forums, and workshops. Also included are talks, conferences, radio, and TV programs.
NAMES
Note: You may see my name listed as Elayne M. Neal (married, divorced and business name) or Elayne Scott Neal (Scott was my maiden name and is listed on Facebook so classmates or people who knew me in my youth can find me). My pen name E. N. Light is primarily used in publications from 2019 on but is now used on this website since it is linked to Twitter and en-lightpublications.com. My first name Elaine was legally changed to Elayne years ago based on numerology.
MISSION
As some of you may know, my mission in life has always been to raise consciousness regarding the inner, or spiritual, aspects of ourselves often overlooked when we focus outward on the material plane and the mundane parts of life. Therefore, each article and discourse is an an aspect of self-mastery. Most poems contain a message. Many of the photos represent the beauty and harmony present in our world.
ORGANIZATIONS
In 1977 I joined the world-wide Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis (AMORC), otherwise known as the Rosicrucian Order, and began a journey of understanding the objective and subconscious minds, meditation, ritual, and a variety of mystical and psychic subjects as well as the great philosophers and universal laws. Am a life member today and have often presented original PowerPoint programs in Johannes Kelpius Lodge (AMORC) zoom meetings. On 9/21/80 was initiated into The Traditional Martinist Order, an adjunct to the Rosicrucian Order focused on Christian mysticism and the Kaballah, and remained a member until 3/31/91. Over the years joined other groups as well, including Unitarian Universalist PSI Symposium (now defunct but was a forum for "new age" speakers, newsletters, annual journals, and yearly conferences), the American Society of Dowsers (ASD) and its Greater Boston Chapter #60 (one can dowse anything), the Theosophical Society (another group that had great speakers). Also read Eckankar books on the science of sound, light and soul travel (finally joined in April 2015 and attended local meetings in Arlington MA until the Covid pandemic), Edgar Cayce's akashic readings (especially on Atlantis, Egypt and health), Science of Mind magazines, and Unity's Daily Word.
BEGINNING OF TEACHING, TALKS, AND BUSINESSES
In 1979 it was suggested that I begin teaching so I formed a meditation and psychic development group that met in my apartment in Nashua, NH and soon afterwards was asked to speak to a variety of groups including the Rotary Club of Nashua, Newcomers of Nashua, Parents Without Partners (although I wasn't one), the Junior League of Women, PSI Symposium groups, etc. Also in 1979, formed a consulting and project business called Realization Management that was the primary source of my income for 23 years (along with various temporary secretarial and accounting jobs between contracts) and a seminar business called Sun Searcher Seminars that focused on dream work, prosperity, and past lives, which I held at the Best Western TLC in Waltham, MA. It was during this time that I began writing profusely - workshop outlines, lessons and handouts, discourses and articles, and poetry. My work life also benefited from this surge in creativity.
ROSICRUCIAN ORDER
Between 1980-1982, became Deputy Master then Master of Johannes Kelpius Lodge, AMORC in Allston, MA and was intensely dedicated to service, which helped put my Rosicrucian lessons into practice, a must for any type of self-mastery. On December 23, 1987 was appointed AMORC Regional Monitor overseeing the ritual and administrative aspects of Johannes Kelpius Lodge, South Shore Pronaos in Brockton and Emerson Pronaos in Townsend and served until 1990.
SIDDHA YOGA MEDITATION
In 1981 was introduced to Siddha Yoga by a Rosicrucian friend. At that time practitioners were meeting at an ashram in Chestnut Hill, MA. Would go there frequently with my friend to chant and meditate during the time Swami Muktananda was head of the organization and housed in Ganeshpuri, India, but, I must admit, I would often have a feeling of his presence. Swami Muktananda died on October 2, 1982 and for years after that I did not have an inclination to attend the Boston ashram programs. However, not long after the Siddha Yoga Meditation Center opened in Watertown, MA, began attending and serving at various events and had Shaktipat Initiation that awakens the sleeping kundalini energy. As the spirit moved me, drove to the large ashram in So. Fallsburg, NY to bask in the Shakti of the ashram grounds and Swami Chidvilasananda's presence (Swami Muktananda passed the lineage to Gurumayi who became Self-realized under his guidance). Frequent chanting of the Siddha mantra, received and enlivened at Shaktipat Initiation, meditation, the reading of Siddha books and Darshan magazines, and attending Center events, such as the Sunday morning Guru Gita, satsangs, and special celebrations, helped raise my consciousness even more so that I became aware of the formless as well as consciousness in form.
POETRY
Poetry is a way I can express a lot of mystical laws, feelings and experiences in few words. I always liked poetry but it wasn't until a Modern American and British Poetry class at Bridgewater State College (now Bridgewater University) that I really enjoyed it. My poetry teacher also became my adviser during my senior year when I taught middle-grade students in Brockton how to read and enjoy poetry, including Shakespeare. For years I didn't seem to have the time or incentive to get back into it, but when I began seriously meditating in 1979, my creativity and own poetry began to flow. In April 1986 a friend introduced me to the Massachusetts State Poetry Society (MSPS) at a meeting at the Stoneham Public Library after which I promptly joined. Since then have served in many capacities - Contest Chairperson, Vice President, Corresponding Secretary, Board Member, and contest judge. Around 1989 formed the first chapter of the MSPS called The Poet's Circle that met in Waltham until the beginning of the 21st century. It is now defunct, since many of the members either moved or passed away, but other chapters have sprung up so that now we have several viable ones. One of my passions for 30 years was to sponsor and judge the Thomas Scott Sr. Memorial Contest in honor of my father who was a writer, poet and comedian in his spare time (the MSPS sponsors approximately 25 contests each August open to all National Federation of Poetry Society poets across the U.S.). In 2012 added the James Federico Memorial Contest for many years to honor my close Rosicrucian friend's memory. Jim was a wonderful poet who expounded on causes and had great last lines. My own poetry comes in spurts - when I am at a MSPS workshop, focused on learning a particular form, inspired after meditation, or when preparing for a program, such as the Porter's Art Group cable television show in Stoneham that I participated in for years until it was disbanded due to the host's health. This website showcases some of my shorter poems by theme.
MORE ABOUT TEACHING
Since 1979 when my creativity began to flow from contact with the Master Within, I began to teach numerous psychic and mystical topics. The first was a class in my apartment in Nashua NH then the students asked me to give talks to their organizations. After that it just expanded (see the talks and conferences section of the website). On October 26, 1986 gave my first 4-hour spring/fall workshop on "Creative Visualization" at Cambridge College in Cambridge MA to Master's Degree students. It was a relationship I thoroughly enjoyed that lasted until April 9, 1994 when I found it difficult to find parking near the new building on Massachusetts Avenue. The students were so enthusiastic, had great stories, and sometimes came back several years later for a refresher because they knew how important the information was to manifest what they needed in their lives. This workshop was done in a dual format - the first two hours active and the second two hours passive. In 2020 with the advent of the Covid pandemic, began teaching Johannes Kelpius Lodge/AMORC students via Zoom out of my apartment in Woburn MA. Teaching is something I absolutely love, especially teaching that helps people learn about the mind and spirit.
HYPNOTHERAPY
In 1994 while meditating, heard a voice that told me to go out and get certified. I intuitively knew it was in hypnosis so I searched for a local teacher and found a wonderful woman named Agnes Sallet von Tannenberg who held classes in Westford MA. On June 19, 1994 became a Certified Hypnotherapist with the National Guild of Hypnotists and began to attend and serve at the annual conventions in Nashua, NH, local meetings, and a cottage group I founded that met at my apartment in Woburn to share and practice techniques. Hypnosis helped me understand the subconscious mind even more than I did and enabled me to live my dream of helping others experience one or more past lives so they would know they were evolving souls, shedding bodies, but maintaining consciousness. Consciousness is the key to spiritual evolution. We come into new bodies with a veil over our past experiences but as we meditate, we may experience either glimpses into past lives or sometimes a more intense view. We also come to understand the Law of Karma (cause and effect) and that we are responsible for all our actions. I don't do hypnosis now but I can understand why I was told to delve into it.
WRITINGS & BOOKLETS
Along with talks, also wrote articles and discourses, which you can find elsewhere on this website along with the places and dates where they were published or delivered. In 1994 began writing booklets to sell during workshops or to donate as fundraisers for organizations. The booklets are no longer available. In order of publication date, they are:
Creating and Changing Realities: A Dynamic Tool for Self-Mastery (this booklet has been reprinted many times, has gone to Europe, and I have been told has changed lives for the better; it was turned into book form in 2022)
Dreams Trail of The Muse: The Dream Practitioner's Handbook (based on my own experiences; some items in this booklet are not found elsewhere; it will become part of a book in lated 2025)
Discovering Other Lives - Past, Present and Future: A Handbook for Hypnotherapists & Other Interested Explorers (have given lots of talks on this subject and worked with people via guided visualization and hypnosis to uncover significant and influential past lives; this will also become part of a book in late 2025)
Return of The Eagle: Poems and Stories of Higher Consciousness (my first poetry chapbook but in an unusual format - contains detailed information of the experiences that resulted in the poems; in 2019 it was turned into a book with a lot more spiritual information and poems).
BOOKS
In 2019 produced my first self-published book on Amazon.com titled Return of the Eagle: Poems with Their Stories of Higher Consciousness, which was an expansion of my booklet with a similar name. In 2021 produced Kabir-Like Chastisements: To Get on the Return Path Material to Spiritual (August) and The Pyramid Discourses: Co-Partnering with God (December). PATH NOW
My path the past 20 years has been more about service than attending talks and conferences. There was a time I couldn't wait to hear Ram Dass about his spiritual path, Dr. Raymond Moody on life after death, Alex Tanous on his experiences working with the government projecting himself to three different places simultaneously, Hans Holtzer on ghost hunting, the Association for Research and Enlightenment (ARE) dream experts that included Elsie Sechrist, the Dali Lama on consciousness and Tibet, and a host of so many others. My mind got saturated with learning and now I just want to be in the flow, going where the spirit moves me. There comes a point when one realizes the mind is always seeking, jumping from one thought to another, analyzing and questioning and will always keep one on a wheel of activity. In order to reach a higher state of consciousness, the great saints say that one's mind must be empty and silent. Mysticism and spirituality are continued practices until one has reached the state of cosmic consciousness (a Rosicrucian term), Self-realization (a Siddha term), or God-consciousness (an ECKankar term) so my goal is to continue meditating and training my mind into Oneness/Allness rather than separateness/duality. At some point, in this lifetime or another, I hope to rend the veil of illusion so that I shall continually know my true and Universal Self and serve at a more expansive level.
Many cosmic blessings to all who enter here. May your spiritual path be blessed with Great Light and Wisdom and may your awareness continually dwell in Love.
Love, Light, Life and Peace Profound
