loneliness random, heavily footnoted,
all humor wry
Before we met
ache was plain, longing legion
And when our love was young
light's storybook radius drawn tight around us
And
And
- what was once romantic conjecture
become matter-of-fact
Phrases from the before-we-met yearning
When my thoughts are no more
still will I cherish the vapor trail
This interlude also deserves

streaming warm & important
feint of new word
