Beginner: You get a pre-generated human soulknife. That character particularly suits beginners with its free weapon (mind blade).
Roleplay: You are asked a few basic questions to generate your character. There are no numbers involved!
Advanced: This is the creation method to fully customise your character. It's difficult to use so it's not recommended to beginners.
Play as yourself: This is to create you, the player, as a character. It's basically a chance to see how you would fare in an adventure world. Please be honest when you respond to the questions, or it's no fun.

Read about the 6 ability scores here.
The ability that governs spellcasting depends on what type of spellcaster your character is: Intelligence for wizards and psions; Wisdom for clerics, druids, and rangers; or Charisma for bards, paladins and sorcerers.
Read how the combat mechanics work here (technical article).
A creature’s general moral and personal attitudes are represented by its alignment: lawful good, neutral good, chaotic good, lawful neutral, neutral, chaotic neutral, lawful evil, neutral evil, or chaotic evil.
Alignment is a tool for developing your character’s identity. It is not a straitjacket for restricting your character. Each alignment represents a broad range of personality types or personal philosophies, so two characters of the same alignment can still be quite different from each other. In addition, few people are completely consistent.

You can morph if you are under the effect of the spells Polymorph or Metamorphosis. You can also morph a certain amount of times per day if you are a druid.
In order to morph into a creature, you must possess a knowledge rank equal to the creature's HD in the knowledge skill associated with the type of the creature e.g. Knowledge (nature) if you want to morph into an animal. View here which Knowledge skill is associated with what creature type. View here all the creatures listed by their type.

The World Portal leads to 1,000,000 random worlds, each with a city and a dungeon.
Each world is different. If you explore enough, you will find one that contains any creature that you wish to fight. But be wary that many are also very dangerous.
Each dungeon is guarded by a dragon. Dragons keep many riches and their scales are very valuable to craft powerful armours. They provide resistance to a certain type of element and druids can wear them because they are not made of metal.
Not all dragons are the same. Most dragons will only be vanquished by the most experienced adventurers.
If you find a village (inhabited area) on the map, you can use your Knowledge (Local) skill to gather information about where to find the city or the dungeon.
Command: /gather

Some apartments are available from certain cities. Moreover, each random world contains many dwellings that players can buy from the city landlord to make it their home.
The same home will be used for all the characters on your account. You can store your items safely in your house vault.

Visit a priest of Jasha to reincarnate (custom variant of the spell). Their spell resets your character to level 1 and makes it harder to gain experience. However, you gain 5 supplementary points to increase your ability scores, and new feats (one on first rebirth, two on the next ones).
It costs 3 points to increase an ability score ≥ 16
2 points for a score ≥ 12
1 point otherwise
You are still considered a high level for the Poetry Contest.
On third rebirth, you can gain either the celestial or fiendish template.
The Wizards are the players who run the game. Each MUD creator starts with a rank of 7, and is given local power over their own MUD. The Wizards at rank 8 and above have global powers over all MUDs.
