Teaching Philosophy

Teaching adults means:

• • Recognizing that students bring knowledge, skills, and energy to the classroom

  • Collaborating with students (and learning from them) rather than presenting what the professor thinks they need to know

  • Considering whether course work is relevant to career goals

  • Focusing learning on the knowledge, values, and skills needed to accomplish the course learning outcomes
