My research about family resilience was inspired by the families that I worked with in Buffalo, New York. I was impressed that many of those families had been able to overcome significant adversities, and my research has explored the characteristics that helped them do this. I have published two articles describing a resilience-based model for family interventions and they are available online. I have also attached PowerPoint slides that I presented at the 2017 Pathways to Resilience IV Conference in Cape Town, South Africa.
