I have been having a wonderful time at the Joint World Conference on Social Work, Education and Social Development in Seoul Korea. I presented about a Curriculum Self-Evaluation Tool and I have heard about different aspects of social work education, practice, and research from around the world. I have had interesting conversations with colleagues from Hong Kong, Japan, Ethiopia, and UK, and I enjoyed dinner with new friends from Singapore.
My wife an I also toured Korea over the last week, seeing traditional villages, temples, fortresses, palaces, and scenic hikes along seashore and at Mt. Seoraksan. We even got a brief preview of the Olympics preparation in Pyeongchang.
I have two more days of conference before we return to Canada, so there are more people to meet and share ideas.
