My Curriculum Vitae, which is attached below, describes my academic career as a social work researcher and faculty member. It only briefly mentions my experiences as a social work practitioner, which are described in more detail in the Biography section of this portfolio.
I started teaching MSW courses about interventions with families and with couples in the mid-1990s. Working with students was very rewarding and it influenced me to return to school for a PhD, which I received in 2005. The following year, I joined the faculty of the University of Windsor School of Social Work. Like most life experiences, my time in Windsor has been an adventure which has been sometimes exhilarating, other times frustrating, and always life-changing. Overall, it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, thanks to my social work and university colleagues, community partners, and of course my students.
This photo shows me with Dr. Kim Calderwood and a MSW student (Ewelina Horochowik) at the OASW Southwestern Branch annual meeting in March 2016.
