The B5086 is a short B-road connecting the A538 in Wilmslow town centre to the B5085 road to Knutsford, to the south-west of Wilmslow. Originally the route ran as far north as the "Fulshaw Cross" or King's Arms roundabout, but when the Wilmslow bypass opened, the former A34 was renumbered as the B5086.
In the last few years, a short spur of the B5086 has led from the Fulshaw Cross to meet the A34 and B5359 at the end of the Wilmslow and Alderley Edge bypasses.
