The A535 is a non-primary A-road running for 6 miles (10km) from the A50 in Holmes Chapel to the A537 at Chelford.
Apart from passing through pleasant Cheshire countryside, the A535 passes the famous Jodrell Bank observatory. The Lovell Telescope, at 76 metres (250 ft) in diameter, is the third largest fully steerable telescope in the world.
Originally the A535 ran all the way to Alderley Edge, however the section from Chelford to Alderley Edge was reclassified as the B5359 in November 2010 following the opening of the Alderley Edge bypass, to discourage long distance traffic from using the old route instead of the new bypass.
