I wish I could be there to see all of you. Those were some of the happiest days of my life. I remember taking the bus from Benedictine Academy & walking to St. Benedict’s for practices. I participated between 1968-1971, always in the chorus. I still have my "Half a Sixpence” from Joe Growney. I am married (didn’t change my name) and have two adopted children, a girl age 9, and a boy age 10. My daughter thought my sixpence from Joe was quite romantic. My son was just interested in what the coin looked like. Every play was wonderful and we all seemed like a family because of our shared experiences. Being in the Drama Guild helped me overcome my shyness and instilled in me, forever, my love of theatre, art, museums, symphonies, opera, all kinds of music, playing the piano and guitar. Jack Jordanowski and I went to see several Broadway plays as a result – 1776 was just one. I was also in Henry V. I worked in NYC for 10 yrs. & then later in northern & western NJ. Thank you friends, former thespians, Benedictine Academy & St. Benedict’s Drama Guild for being so special. You made such an impact on me intellectually, but more so , in my heart.
