I will never forget one of the worst nights in my life, when I got on stage and around the second act of Macbeth I blanked and forgot all my lines. It was an experience that I never wish upon anyone, I was able to recover after intermission(barely) and continue with the show. After the show a few of the recent Alumni chased me all around the building trying to "talk" to me. I went home and stayed up the whole night, feverishly going over my lines.
I was able to continue the next two shows but I learned two valuable lessons that night 1: the curse of Macbeth is real and 2: Sometimes you have to fall in order to get back up, becoming even stronger and wiser than before. Pat "benched" me for the next play, rightly so, and I had to earn my place again in the Guild but that only made me a better actor and my conviction stronger than ever.
Cheers!
