Mid-Week Game 02 - Malvern Valley

Game MW02 - The second mid-week game was at Malvern Valley. While the weather look like rain in the morning it was sunny cool day for golf. The course was in a good condition for the fairways and greens, the tees were very sandy. No real complaints from the members and we may repeat the course if required. We had 7 members attending with 2 wanting a cart - the rest enjoyed walking the course. 

The winner was James Marinopoulos on 36 stableford, followed by Con Yianakos on 35. The scores were added to the GA system for handicapping. See results below:

Mid-Week Game 01 - Glen Waverley

Game MW01 - We had the inaugural mid-week game at Glen Waverley. This was a good test run with 6 members attending for a warm sunny day for golf, however the course was in a wintery condition (no carts allowed) and 2 holes were shortened to par 3s. Unfortunately, we had a group of 5, who were slow players, ahead of us which made it a longer round of golf. Complaints were made to the Course Marshall but no real improvement in speed.  

Two members decided to stop after 9 so we had a group of 4 for the back 9. The winner was Con Gamvrellis on 38 stableford, followed by Rick on 36. As there wee temporary holes, the scores were not added to the GA system. See results below:

Current Scedule

• The games will be played across a variety of public-access golf courses in Melbourne's eastern suburbs. (See potential courses and indicative pricing below).

• Courses will be booked 7 days before each game by James Marinopoulos (DEGC Captain) based on the number of attending members. The starting time will depend on availability, but will be in the morning (between 10AM and 1PM).

• Courses will be subject to availability and are subject to change and may be booked twice in the 8 game series.
