Introducing Authors (going to the other extreme, from nothing to everything)
Use information that speaks to the author's expertise as it pertains to your topic. You do not have to list everything you find.
Example: Zachary Crockett is a writer for Priceonomics and covers off-kilter sub-cultures, innovators, and communities some of his work has been picked up by The New York Times, TechCrunch, Gizmodo, and Forbes. In an article about sexual assault in the United States he says “the FBI, the CDC, the US Department of Justice, and organizations like RAINN — round up statistics on rape and sexual assault, but the estimates are wide-ranging: some place the figure as high as 1.9 million cases per year, and others as low as 90,185. Moreover, studies have shown that only about one-third of these crimes are reported to authorities, making concrete figures hard to pin down.” (2016).
