Libraries are vital to higher technical education, serving as essential resources for self-development, curriculum support, and research.
Datta Meghe College of Engineering, Airoli, features a centralized 800-square-meter library on the first floor, housing 47,695 books, including 20,000 reference titles.
The library subscribes to ‘Science Direct,’ providing access to 439 core engineering e-journals with remote access for students and faculty. It also uses ‘Drillbit’ software to detect plagiarism and maintain academic integrity.
Through DELNET Library Consortium membership, the library expands its resources via interlibrary collaboration. Faculty research is managed through DMCE IRINS.
The library promotes open-source resources, providing accessible links on its website to platforms like NDLI and IIT repositories.
While partially automated via a Library Management System (LMS), the library enhances service delivery with QR codes for contactless access.
Library Hours:
Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Circulation: 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM (continuous)
Library Membership:
Requirements: Recent photograph and admission receipt.
One non-transferable card is issued per member.
Borrowing: Two books for one week with renewal options.
Return Policy: Members must wait until returned books are marked as canceled in their account.
The library reserves the right to recall books at any time.
Late Fine: ₹7 per day.
Lost/Damaged Books: Replacement with the same title or payment of double the book's price.
