Set up on a cutting board and make yourself comfortable - if you're comfortable you are less likely to cut yourself.

It is best to work from the back side, use a straight edge and a circular guide to to help you cut the tabs.

Make one cut against your guide

then make another cut at an angle to release the tab

Pile up the pieces into groups.

12 base ribs

3 base rings

5 cup rings

3 cup rib handles

3 cup ribs of one type

6 cup ribs of another type

The pieces are on the 'sprue' face side up (the tabs are on the back) make a note of the rings these are laid out in order bottom up - you could number each piece on the back.

Look carefully at the rings you should notice that the slots are different lengths. You need to work out which set of ribs go in which slots

Use the knife and sandpaper block to clean up the tabs.

When you have prepared all your pieces, then you can start by assembling the base.

When assembling the trophy, start by placing the rings carefully on one of the side ribs, perhaps the handle. You can see where the ring is missing.

Then put the remaining ribs in place work on opposite sides and ease them into position. Be careful not to force them and make sure the slots are lining up as you ease them into place
