Product History

In this project we got a partner, and with that partner we had to pick a product to research about. Me and my partner picked adhesives more commonly known as glue. When we did the project we had to find the date that our project was first invented, then we had to find 4 innovations that happened to product over time. We had to make a timeline of our project that showed how, in our case glue, changed over time - from sap from a tree to super glue. We the had to describe the effects that our product has on the environment. In our case glue has some negative effects on the environment. We the had to speculate about how the future of our product would turn out. Me and my partner thought that glue would stick longer and not get stuck to human hands in the future. We the had to present our project to our class and see other presentations that our classmates did.

When we did this project me and my partner learned a lot about glue. We learned about it origins to its modern changes happening right now. We learned from our research and other presentations how much products change over time, and how different they used to be hundreds of years ago. We learned the future of many of the things we think will not change, and we learned about how different products effect the environment in positive and negative ways. I liked to learn about other projects, especially about how different products that we take for granted now were when they were first created. I also liked researching a seemingly boring product and finding out how interesting the history of glue is.
