In addition to the village operations side of our department, there is a not-for-profit charitable organization as well. This not-for profit 501(c)(3) collects donations and does fundraising to help fund several different aspects of the department.
General donations made to the Deposit Fire Department, Incorporation partially go toward the benefit of our firefighters, rescue technicians, E.M.S. providers and support staff who are all volunteers. This money may be used to help improve our training facility, make improvements to our stations, cover the cost for special training, purchase duty clothing for our members, help fund scholarships for college bound members, etc. Donations are also used to help maintain a park that our members own / operate through the incorporation that is open to the public and hosts several large community events annually.
Donations we collect through the Deposit Fire Department, Inc. Benevolent Committee go toward purchasing specialty equipment for our responders, the purchase of fire prevention supplies and helps to cover the cost of advanced training for our members.
Donations made to our Deposit Emergency Squad go toward helping with the purchase of medical equipment for providing first aid during medical emergencies and helps to cover the cost of rehab supplies.
Donations made to the Deposit Fire Department Auxiliary go toward rehab supplies and disaster preparedness.
