Refundable Deposit

As of the March 14 Natural Gas Meeting with Delmarva, Delmarva is once again accepting $200 deposits with Natural Gas Applications. The current plan is that Deacons Walk will be able to produce enough $200 deposits during the Spring to setup a Summer construction schedule, so everyone will have Natural Gas access for the 2016-17 heating season. The only way that happens if Delmarva collects the 65 required applications and deposits. To submit your deposit follow the instructions for Signing up for Natural Gas.

To sign up for Natural Gas Delmarva requires a $200 refundable deposit along with the resident's application.

The $200 deposit is refundable under the following conditions:

1. The $200 check will be returned (without being cashed) if Delmarva does not proceed with the project.
1. The $200 deposit will be returned to the resident when they become a Delmarva Power gas customer - hooking up ANY gas appliance makes you a customer. They must, however, do so within five years of the gas main being installed to serve the neighborhood. If the resident waits longer than five years, they will lose their $200 deposit.

The following appliances are all eligible for the $200 reimbursement:

1. Furnace or Boiler
2. Water Heater (Tank or On Demand)
3. Range
4. Fireplace
5. Dryer
6. Emergency Generator
7. Pool Heater
