IEEE ICDM '05 & KAIS 11(3) (2007)

Our refereed IEEE ICDM '05 paper titled "CanTree: A tree structure for efficient incremental mining of frequent patterns" was selected to be extended and revised for inclusion in a special issue of Knowledge and Information Systems: An International Journal (KAIS). The resulting journal article was published as one of the five articles in Knowledge and Information Systems 11(3) by Springer-Verlag in April 2007.

On Wednesday, November 30, 2005, Tariqul Hoque presented a refereed paper titled "CanTree: A tree structure for efficient incremental mining of frequent patterns", which he co-authored with his academic supervisor (Dr. Carson K. Leung) and his fellow lab member (Quamrul I. Khan), in the Fifth IEEE International Conference on Data Mining held in Houston, TX, USA.

Carson Leung and Wookey Lee consider a different type of data integration that is found in data warehousing. Their paper demonstrates a method for improving the update of data warehouse views which relies on the constraints that apply to the source data.
