Darcy Lubbers, PhD, MFT, ATR-BC
I created this website to share information about my private practice as a marriage and family therapist, and each of the specialties and therapeutic modalities I work with. On these pages you will find information about my education and training, and about the logistics of working together.
My work as a marriage and family therapist, clinical art therapist, and somatic psychotherapist is integrative, trauma-informed, and holistic. Drawing on over 25 years of experience in private practice, and in residential and outpatient treatment, I offer pathways to healing and well-being within the context of a safe and supportive environment. I work with individuals, couples, and families, and my treatment specialties include the healing of communication and relationship issues, depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders and addictions, family and personal illness, grief and loss.
With a psycho-dynamic, Jungian, and family systems background, my clinical work also is informed by a variety of other theoretical perspectives, including a focus on wellness through mind/body integration, and training which includes clinical art therapy, clinical hypnosis, guided imagery, voice dialogue process, imago relationship therapy, emotionally focused couples' therapy (EFT), non-violent communication (NVC), somatic experiencing (SE), yoga therapy, structural bodywork, mindfulness meditation, and mind body medicine.
*Please note that during this time of "safer at home" due to Covid-19, I am available for telehealth meetings either through HIPAA compliant video conferencing, or by telephone. We can transition to in-person meetings, if desired, once the mandate has been lifted.
