Welcome to the course Game Theory at Universidad del Norte! This course is designed to provide you with a solid foundation in strategic decision-making, equipping you with the tools to analyze interactions between rational agents in economic, political, and social contexts. Throughout this course, we will explore fundamental concepts such as Nash equilibrium, dominant strategies, and mixed strategies, applying them to real-world scenarios like negotiations, market competition, and policy design. This course will challenge your thinking and expand your analytical skills.
In addition to theoretical foundations and strategic analysis, the Game Theory course provides interactive simulators that enhance learning through hands-on experience. These include the Prisoner's Dilemma, Price Competition Game, Rock-Paper-Scissors, the Battle of the Sexes, and many more to come. These tools allow students to engage with strategic decision-making in real-time, deepening their understanding of key concepts and their applications in various scenarios.
