I am a colombian Fulbrighter, I hold a Ph.D. in Economics from Washington State University and bring more than two decades of experience to the education sector. My expertise is centered around the design, implementation, and impact evaluation of education policies and programs. After a long career in higher education, including a period as Provost at the Universidad Tecnológica de Bolívar in Cartagena - Colombia, I have now shifted my focus towards K12 education. Being bilingual in English and Spanish, I aim to utilize my econometric and statistical skills to analyze and enhance educational policies in K12 settings. My work is dedicated to developing data-driven approaches that promote a more equitable education system, especially in meeting the needs of diverse student populations. Currently, I am leveraging my academic experience to critically evaluate educational policies and contribute to the advancement of effective and inclusive educational practices (UMass Bilingual Hub).
