The good barge "SAM II". This is a work barge moored to the east bank of Ohio's Rocky River, near its mouth. SAM II was deployed in support of the 1981 partial demolition of the old Detroit Road bridge -- which spanned the Rocky River valley and connected the cities of Rocky River on the west side and Lakewood on the east.

Banner celebrating the Spring, 2009 agreement between Tralee, Ireland and Westlake, Ohio to enter in to an association through the Sister Cities program. This is the banner as it was displayed in the City of Westlake's Fourth of July parade following that agreement. (July, 2009 photo.)
Of particular interest, Tralee hosts the annual Rose of Tralee International Festival every August, enjoying the 50th edition of the popular event in 2009.
