c. Articulate how formats and communication channels impact information and how information and ideas are processed and transformed using digital tools
Three different resources about the 1992 L.A. Riots were analysed on their format impact and how the information was conveyed. Through this assignment I was able to see how the format of information effects how influential it can be. Looking at first-hand account photographs was very different from reading a newspaper article. This assignment was related to information is processed using digital tools because reviewing a photograph and video footage are completely different and can portray different emotions depending on the author.
I also evaluated a website called Lumosity on many different levels to see how effective it is in education. The site was evaluated on things such as objectives, online presentation, accuracy, and e-learning. This assignment helped us think about how we were going to design our own online courses.
