Summer 2024. This ride took us to the (G.A.P.) Great Allegheny Passage, the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal Towpath and the Washington And Old Dominion trail, together connecting Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Washington, DC.  We took the Amtrak train from New York City to Pittsburgh, PA with our bikes in late July and rode 8 days along The Monongahela river, The Youghiogheny River, The North Branch Potomac River and The Potomac River onto The Washington and Old Dominion Trail to Alexandria, VA and then Washington, DC. We completed over 400 miles, making stops in Belle-Vernon, PA, Ohiopyle,PA, Frostburg, MD, Paw-Paw WV, Clear Spring, MD, Brunswick, MD , Reston, VA , Alexandria, VA Mount Vernon, VA and Washington, DC. See day-to-day maps below. for more info: CycleBig1@gmail.com
