In 1995 a group of people formed a social club in Newburyport, Massachusetts, along the banks of the Merrimack River, with the shared interest of the American Civil War. This page overs some of the events from 1995-2025, including some covers of early newsletters, speakers, dedications and trips. For 30 years, we're still going!

In May 1998, the CWRT of the Merrimack helped reenactors and living historians re-dedicate "the Volunteer," Newburyport's Civil War Memorial.
As part of the NPS "Adopt a Monument" program, Cynthia Brown cleans the 19th Mass Monument at Gettysburg in 1999.

For Lincoln's 200th birthdfay in February 2009, the CWRT of the Merrimack had a cake and celebrated the 16th presdient's birthday in style!
