The Party

Bay Town, population 1,750, is the community that the twelve Lords of Imphras II would most like to forget. Dominating Traders Bay in central Impiltur, Bay Town shelters thieves and pirates, smugglers and other unseemly types of every profession. The leaders of Impiltur acknowledge that thieves and rogues will carve a niche for themselves somewhere, so they simply turn their eyes away from the goings-on. In truth, they prefer to keep the scum confined to one area, preferably one of minimal importance, and Bay Town fits that bill. Deciding to avoid being “invited” to serve as slaves on one of the many pirate ships, the party members individually decided to leave Bay Town (actually, to leave all of Impiltur!) and make for the Kingdom of the Bloodstone Lands. There, one can make one's fortune (according to sailors from that land) without the pirates, thieves, and smugglers inhabiting Bay Town. The PCs begin the adventure sailing upon a mighty Arcatan trading vessel. The vessel and its crew navigate the great Icehilt River up and into Lake Icemelt en route to Sudrav, where the PCs entered the Kingdom.

Aster Silentread - (Wood Elf; Ranger; Chaotic Good). (Xandree)

Mina Duskwalker - (Half Elf; Mage; Neutral Good) - Originally from somewhere in Damara. She lived there until the age of 8, at which point her parents fled the rule of the Witch-King. Her parents wandered for a time, but Mina felt a longing to return to the land of her birth. When old enough, she found your way to Bay Town, in hopes of finding passage back to the Kingdom of the Bloodstone Lands. She heard while there that the Witch-King had been defeated, and a new King has united the land. Apparently it is now a land of opportunity for adventurers, and Mina found herself sailing upon a mighty Arcatan trading vessel, returning to the land of her birth. (Denise / Sean)

Kolor Hillsfar - (Shield Dwarf; Fighter; Lawful Neutral) - Kolor had been working as a merchant with this older brother, but when Dudain contracted an illness he revealed to Kolor that they were related to the Hillsafar Clan in the Kingdom of the Bloodstone Lands. Giving Kolar his signet ring, Dudain told Kolor to take the ring, find a ship heading to Sudrav in the Duchy of Arcata, and seek his relatives in the Kingdom of the Bloodstone Lands. (John)

Key Personalities

Igor Leonid - (Mayor, Sudrav) - Igor Leonid is a muscular, heavy set man in his late thirties. He has brown hair and green eyes and always carries a huge battle hammer (maul) at his side. Igor has popularized the Ushanka, wearing the hat so often it has become associated with a position of authority in the village. (The Ushanka is a Russian style fur hat with ear flaps that tie down.) Igor sports a short sleeved shirt at all times, even when outdoors! His Ushanka is magical and keeps him warm no matter how low the temperature drops. Igor Leonid hails from the old school; he chops his own wood, catches his own fish, and drinks spirits to keep warm. He holds his own in a bar fight, especially if he is drunk. In his free time Igor frequents the Thirsty Serpent Tavern where the patrons revel in his boisterous, booming singing voice as he leads them in traditional Arcatan songs. He has been known to raise the morale to such great heights that patrons of the tavern often volunteer for guard duty. Rumors persist of a song which the mayor sang upon coming to Sudrav which convinced 20 young men to sign up to serve Sudrav as men-at-arms.
