Staff Mage
Wand Mage
Bracelet Mage
The Spirit Mage fits the Magic-user archetype in Cube World. The Spirit Mage can use wands, staves, and bracelets for weapons, and wears light armor. Unlike other classes, the Spirit Mage passively generates spirit over time.
There are currently two Spirit Mage specializations: Fire Mage and Water Mage.
Equipment
Spirit Mage Armor: Spirit Mages are only capable of using Silk armor.
Spirit Mage Weapons: Wand(s), Staff(s), and Bracelet(s). Each has a specific strength and is more suited to an individual's play style.
WAND = Each successful hit landed with the Wand will slightly increase the user's Tempo, allowing for quicker healing of friends who may be fighting an enemy in close quarter combat.
STAFF = Using one changes a mage's basic attacks into area of effect tornadoes.
BRACELET = They allow the caster to channel their magical energy through them, just as a wand would. As the player attacks, the animation appears to be punching magic at the enemy. Their naturally high Tempo and ability to temporarily increase Tempo on each successful hit allows the either a Fire Mage to deal large amounts of damage quickly or a Water Mage to quickly stack healing puddles for close quarter combat friends to heal from whilst in combat.
Specializations
Spirit Mage Abilities:
Mana Shield - The player is protected by a magical shield which absorbs damage for a duration of time determined by the amount of points contributed to this skill.
Teleport - Teleports the player a limited distance to the player's cursor. This is line-of-sight dependent.
Fire Mage
Fire Mages use fire to inflict damage on their enemies.
Fire Explosion - This is a Fire Mage specialization skill. The player casts a powerful fire spell that burns and occasionally stuns enemies.
The Fire Mage is the offensive specialization for the Spirit Mage class. They use the force of Fire to burn their enemies with dangerous Fire Spells.
Using the Mouse1 attack has a chance to give a buff that allows the mouse2 attack to cast instantly. While the buff is active, the Fire Mage glows with a fiery aura.
Water Mage
Water Mages use water spells to heal allies and harm enemies.
Healing Stream - This is a Water Mage specialization skill. The player casts a stream of water to heal a targeted ally or the player.
While in water, a mage's water spells have increased damage and amount of hits depending on its weapon.
The Water Mage is the supportive or healer specialization of the Spirit Mage class. Water Mages cast spells to either damage Enemies or heal Allies. Every time a Water Mage lands a hit from either his right click or left click his combo meter increments up by one, each time the combo meter grows the cast time on your left click ability shortens. This effect caps out once your combo meter hits 20. A Water Mage is best used when in a party, as they cannot take many hits, but can heal others who can. To become a water mage you must visit your local Spirit Mage trainer in a village and pay an amount of money. Both of the Water mages basic abilities (left click and right click) have an area of effect that they deal damage in.
Healing Stream Full Description:
The player casts a stream of magic water that heals either a selected ally or yourself. The Healing Stream will heal anyone targeted. If there is no one there you will heal yourself. If you can outrun your opponent you can effectively use this as a potion move and therefore not have to worry about potions or food. Once the spell is cast you begin healing, during which time you can do anything you'd like. As you level up this skill you begin to use less and less mana to restore more and more health. This spell can also be used when low on mana, as it gives you health based on the amount of mana it consumes and the level the skill is up to a certain point. AS such you can use it when you have low mana and still get a fairly good heal out of it. The skill tool tip may say that it costs x amount of mana but that is untrue, it will only consume x amount of mana, but it can be cast as long as you have a bit of mana depending on the skill level.
