Dagger Rogue
Fist Rogue
Longsword Rogue
The Rogue class is a high-damage, low-health melee fighter that utilizes movement, dodging, and stealth mechanics to deal and avoid damage. Rogues must move in close to enemies to deal damage and lack the safety of strong armors, healing abilities, or ranged attacks and therefore must be played carefully if the player wants to succeed.
The Rogue class wears medium armor and can choose either the Assassin or Ninja specialization.
Equipment
Rogue Armor: Rogues are only capable of wielding Cotton armor.
Rogue Weapons: that can be used by the rogue are Dagger(s), Longsword(s) and Fist(s). Daggers and fists can both be equipped on either of the player's hands. Each has a specific strength and is more suited to an individual's play style.
DAGGER = The dagger special attack poisons the enemy.
LONGSWORD = Long swords have an AOE attack that is great for taking out large groups. This allows for a long reach and multiple quick slashes however slower than the dagger. The special attack on the long sword is a forward stab that will hit all enemies in front of you up to 3 times and will most likely stun them.
FISTS = The fist weapon special attack procs a knockdown and small stun. Fist weapons are also very fast when attacking.
Specializations
The Assassin and Ninja specializations.
General Rogue Abilities:
Intercept - The player moves quickly to the targeted location and uses their special ability on surrounding enemies.
Sneak - The player gains a stealth meter and is invisible when the meter is not empty. The player gains stealth slowly over time and loses stealth quickly when moving. Standing in bright places or holding a lantern will increase the time needed to regenerate stealth. Stealth increases damage, critical strike chance, and MP regeneration depending on how full the stealth meter is.
Assassin
Assassins specialize in stealthy maneuvers and basic attacks to build up MP and release their special attack.
Camouflage - This is an Assassin specialization skill. The player camouflages with their surroundings and stays in stealth even in combat. Stealth increases damage, critical strike chance and MP regeneration.
Ninja
Ninjas focus on dodging to build up MP and increase the damage of their special attack. A successful dodge results in a guaranteed critical strike on the next use of an ability.
Shuriken-Attack - This is a Ninja specialization skill. The player jumps backwards a distance and hails a storm of shuriken upon enemies in the targeted area.
Stealth
Stealth is a temporary status, gained from ability of certain classes. Rogue, and sniper specialized ranger are able to use this ability.
While in stealth, target becomes semi-transparent. Any hostile mobs are less able to spot the target, thus giving the player the chance to get closer.
A purple bar named 'stealth' appears over the hotbar. With a fully filled stealth bar a player is able to almost get into melee range unnoticed.
The speed in which the bar fills depends on the amount of light around the player (including what is provided by a lamp) and will fill very quickly in total darkness. Moving and standing in bright light will drain the bar. Sneaking (holding shift) will drain it less quickly.
Trivia
Intercept will fill your MP bar when used, and upon impact use it all to execute special attacks.
If you hold Shift, while using Sneak you will move slower, and be able to control your stealth loss better.
