Here are some annual Mathematics Competition Events.


Annual Leo Schneider Student Team Competition at the Spring Ohio MAA Section Meeting Friday March 25, 2022, 12:00-1:20 PM

All undergraduates and CCP students are eligible to participate. Anyone interested in competing on a CSU team should contact Dr. Gold at L.Gold33@csuohio.edu, 216-687-4565 as soon as possible.

CSU Freshman Sophomore Math Competition April 2, 2019

The CSU Freshman-Sophomore Mathematics Competition is an annual competition in the middle of the spring semester (Tuesday April 2 in 2019) and is open to all regularly enrolled CSU undergraduate students who have completed at most one mathematics course numbered 300 or above. The background for the competition is basic algebra and geometry, very elementary number theory, and calculus; no upper division coursework is necessary. Click here for more information!


CSU DataFest April 12-14, 2019

DataFest will introduce you to what is likely the richest, most complex dataset you’ve seen so far in your academic career. The dataset is provided by a real-life organization and is chosen to provide many avenues of discovery. Students at any stage of their data-science education will find something of interest and will have the opportunity to make an original finding. Students from any major are welcome.
