WHAT: Ute District Fall Camporee – Theme: Rocky Mountain Survival Challenge

WHEN: Friday September 25 through Sunday, September 27

WHERE: Camp Alexander, 2182 County Rd. 96 Lake George, CO 80827-0450

HOW: Departure- Troop assembles at Cheyenne Mountain Elementary at 5pm on Friday, September 25th. Departure time planned for 5:30! See the second attachment for additional camporee information.

Directions – Take Highway 24 west to the town of Lake George. Entering the town of Lake George, take the first left onto County Road 96. (If you cross the river, you have gone too far) Follow County Road 96 (about 1 mile) to the 11-Mile Canyon Entrance. Turn right into 11-Mile Canyon and proceed to the Forest Ranger Station. Tell the gate attendant that you are heading to Camp Alexander, as entry fee is free.

Return – Anticipate returning between 11:30am – 12:30pm at Cheyenne Mountain Elementary School on Sunday, September 27th

Note: EVERYONE needs to return to CME and check out with adult and scout leaders after all items used during outing are returned to shed.

What to bring – See attached packing list

COST: Cost is $15 per participant. This DOES NOT include food, which Patrol grub masters will separately assess. Thursday, September 17th is the last day to cancel without registration charge.

MEALS: Scouts should bring a bagged supper for Friday evening, or eat prior to departure. Cooking will be by patrol for all other meals. We will NOT stop on the way to or from Camp A.
