Bio

Born in Michigan at an early age, Dr. Manis was one of the first educators to use the Internet in class. He believes in innovative education, stressing critical thinking, discussion and debate. He's taught at the University of San Francisco about information systems and social problems and authored 3 books: The Marriage and Family Workbook (2001), The Social Reality (2009) and Life: You're Doing It Wrong (2014).

His doctorate in sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, focused on technology and society and his Role Model is the Jetsons. Dr Manis is also interested in the role of religion in society and alternative religions like those involving ETs, Elvis and/or the Grateful Dead.

He has taught at the College of Southern Nevada since 1998.
