Cadet Sunday

Where: Crossroads Christian Reformed Church

Address: 2406 N Twin Oaks Valley Rd, San Marcos, CA

Who: All Crossroads Cadet Club cadets and their families

Time: 9:15 a.m. to about 11:15 a.m.

The Crossroads Cadets will participate in the Crossroads Church worship service on Cadet Sunday. This helps the church congregation better understand what the cadet club is all about, and allows them to better support the club through their prayers, financially and in other ways. Therefore we want to do a good job in representing our cadet club this Sunday.

All of the cadets are strongly encouraged to attend, especially those that do not normally attend Crossroads church. The entire families of all of the cadets are invited to attend this worship service. However we can also arrange transportation for your son if needed. Just call Mark Steenstra at 760-839-0596 (home phone) and we’ll be able to work something out.

All cadets should wear their cadet shirts that morning, and they should arrive no later than 9:15 a.m. The cadets will be involved in the worship service in the following ways:

• • Greeting those coming to church before church begins

  • Handing out bulletins before church

  • Collecting the offering (a slideshow of cadet activities will be shown during the offering)

  • Reciting the cadet landmarks in front of the congregation (be ready!!)

  • Singing “Living for Jesus”, the cadet Hymn, along with the congregation

The next regular meeting with be held on February 8 at Crossroads church at 7PM (as usual). We will be working on the Pinewood Derby cars. You should have received another flyer about that. Note that the races will be held on Saturday, March 3, at 8:30 a.m. at the Escondido United Reformed Church.
