When: November 16 and 17, 2012 (Friday & Saturday)
Where: Melrose Ranch (owned by Arie de Jong)

Who: All Crossroads Cadet Club cadets and their dads!
Departure Time: 3:15PM on Friday (11/16)
Departure/Return Place: Calvin Christian Elementary School Parking Lot
Return Time: 3:30PM on Saturday (11/17)
What to bring:
Do not bring electronics (iTouch, iPod, etc.). Cell phones are OK but should be used only for emergencies.
Sleeping bag and pillow (a sleeping pad is also nice if you have one)
Warm clothes including a warm jacket! Last year it rained, so maybe even a raincoat.
Change of clothes (just in case they get wet, etc.)
Tent (some tents will also be provided and/or shared between cadets)
Hiking boots (sturdy shoes are acceptable).
Flashlight
Hat and/or sunscreen
Fold-up chair (optional). We will sit around the fire at night.
Food, drinks, water and all the necessary cooking supplies will be provided.
We will be learning/practicing skills that we will compete in at field day (12/8) such as marksmanship, archery, fire building, knot tying, shelter building, tripod lashing, bait casting, and nail driving.
We hope all of our cadets and as many dads as possible can make it! It should be a lot of fun!
