Abraham Cox, son of Isaac Cox, was born in 1783 in Orange County, North Carolina. But according to the 1850 Census, he said he was born in South Carolina. He married Jane (possibly Pyle). She was born in 1792 in Greenville, South Carolina.
Abraham Cox died in 1860 in Greenville County, South Carolina. His headstone in Standing Springs Church cemetery reads died in 1860, age 72 years so that would put his birth around 1788. In the 1850 Census, his age is listed as 67 so that would put birth around 1783.
