Welcome to my website. If you are experiencing difficulties because of stress, anxiety or depression or if you need support to help you come to terms with a major life event, trauma or bereavement, counselling can be the first step to getting your life back on track again. If you feel unhappy in your relationship or work or you feel this is the time to reassess your goals or direction in life then talking things through with a counsellor or coach may help you gain perspective and provide you with the tools you need to move forward in a new way.
During this time of uncertainty it is essential that we all care for our mental health and have access to the support we need. This is why I will be offering telephone, Whatsapp, Zoom/Skype and outdoor sessions to those who wish to access my services whilst we all stay safe.
I will also be offering a reduced fee to those who are affected financially by coronavirus. This could be due to childcare issues, small businesses suffering or employees who lose work or hours at this time.

At times we can all struggle to cope with what life brings. Therapy can offer you the space to work through personal issues in a safe, supportive and confidential environment. Discovering what is important for you as an individual and learning to identify and use your inner resources to cope in times of stress, anxiety, bereavement, depression and emotional upheaval such as divorce, redundancy or retirement are just a few of the benefits of counselling. Often just talking through a traumatic experience or difficult feelings with another person can be incredibly therapeutic and will empower you to reach your potential by helping to cope with life in new and effective ways.

I am a fully qualified BACP registered integrative psychotherapist. As well as my private practice in Suffolk I have also worked as Child and Family Practitioner for a charity organisation counselling young children and women who are survivors of sexual violence and abuse. I run regular training courses for fellow counsellors in Suffolk and have lectured on counselling children and young people at University Campus Suffolk.
How I work
As an integrative therapist, I work holistically by integrating different therapy skills into my practice in order to provide a service which will suit individual needs. In my training I have developed a skills set which includes talking therapy, outdoor ecotherapy, solution focused therapy, behavioural therapy, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), creative arts therapy, mindfulness based stress reduction and meditation techniques.
I will not judge you or try to influence you in anyway in our work together, but I will provide a safe, confidential space for you to explore your personal situation and work through issues which may be affecting your life, relationships or behaviour. I offer both long and short term therapy and will work with you at your own pace. In our initial assessment you will have the opportunity to decide if I am able to meet your individual needs at this time.
