Marinaded Flank Steak

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons honey

1/4 cup vinegar

1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger

I cup vegetable (we like olive) oil

1 green onion, finely chopped

Combine all above ingredients in a non-metallic dish. Marinade the beef in that dish for 5 hours at room temperature or overnight in the fridge, turning the meat several times. Try to avoid making fork holes in the meat.

Grill the steak for about 5 minutes each side (until as done as you like it) and cut thin slices diagonal to the “grain” of the meat.

This is the dish my brother and I would always ask for on our birthdays...
