This is the last page of the 1837 letter from Orlando Wood to Polly Wood, I could not figure out exactly who he was at first until I look at how he made some of his "O"s, like a "A" and found online a "Orlando Wood" who was in Missouri in a 1860 Census. I would appreciate any information on him and "Polly Wood" if anyone has any or any suggestions on how to find out more about who they were, and any family members, if any. At the bottom of the letter he has her name plus something after it (three or more letters), not able to make out what it is. The last thing before his name is (Give my respects to the neighbors). Please leave any suggestions of possible ideas on what is after her name, maybe she is married and it is her name after marriage. Or it could stand for "p.s., and, say, send, do", I would appreciate any help.
He had earlier mention that a Samuel would be returning and I would like to know if he could be a brother, a cousin, uncle or brother-in-law, of his. Will keep searching to see if more about any before mention can be found. Some names mention in letter are; Uncle Millo Wood(s), E. & D. Wood(s), Matilia, Causys, P. Horney, Jonathan Brownin, Davis Runcle of Doddsville, Samuel Walker of pulask, Marve Morton, Jane Evans, S. Hill, Wm. & Betsy Gamble. Below is a Comment Box, and my email.
