My wife's grandmother would end cards and letters with "love and prayers". As a gift for her family, we scanned one of these and created a keychain with this message in her own handwriting. This was my first use of a 1/32" fishtail bit (to make the fine lettering). The rest was made with a 1/8" bit. This was my first multi-tool job, and it worked out well.
Most of these were cut from pine, and I used a polyshades pecan finish. To accentuate the lettering, I allowed the finish to pool into the lettering, while I carefully wiped off excess from the rest of the wood.
