Dear EAGLES Members,
The EAGLES negotiating team has met twice with the City to discuss terms for a new agreement. Our last negotiation resulted in a mutual agreement to extend the contract a year with no changes. We also missed a vote on board members due in part to Covid and stay at home orders etc. I asked Joy Wiser and Ria Lo if they would be willing to stay on until we could have another formal election and they kindly agreed. It seems I to would be in this category and will act as the EAGLES President until an official vote can be held. The EAGLES negotiations team recently had a follow up meeting with the City and the terms of the agreement improved over the original offer and subsequently improved again. We originally were thinking to do another pass where we just held with no changes. We will be holding an EAGLES Membership Zoom meeting on June 4th (New date) to review the terms of the proposed agreement . If you have additional questions you can reach out to the board.
