The EAGLES negotiation team met with the City to discuss terms for a new contract. We were excited to see the offer since we were thinking we would want to do another amendment to the existing contract where we did a push as we did last year due to economic uncertainty. The City has offered a cost of living increase that was going to be split in two 1.5% increases spaced out 6 months but have since consolidated it into a 3% upfront COLA. We will be having a lunch time EAGLES Zoom meeting on June 3rd to review the full offer. In addition to this but outside of this agreement is that the City will consider Merit increases next year. 2 year contract from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2023
Year 1
Effective the first full pay period following the later of City Council adoption or June 27, 2021
3.0% COLA and
$2,000 lump sum payment
Year 2
Reopener on wages and
Effective the first full pay period following the later of City Council adoption or the pay period including July 1, 2022 - $2,000 lump sum payment
