Measured over a Shirt and Trousers
Nape to Waist – Measured from Shirt Collar Seam to natural narrow waist (usually at naval)
Nape to Low Waist – Measured from Shirt Collar Seam to the Position of the Top of the Trouser Waist Band
Nape to Hip – Measured from Shirt Collar Seam to widest point at the pelvis.
Nape to Cross Fork – Measured from Shirt Collar Seam to the Crotch Level, measured using a Ruler placed under the Crotch to position the base.
Body Rise, Waist to Cross Fork – Measured by Sitting on a Chair from Chair to Waist position (or by subtracting Nape to Waist from Nape to Cross Fork)
Trouser Waist Circumference – Measure around Body at the Low Waist Position - Take this Measure with the tips of 2 fingers inside the tape.
Hip (or Seat) Circumference – Around the Widest Point of the hip, parallel to ground – Take this Measure with the tips of 2 fingers inside the tape.
Inside Leg to Floor – Measure from Cross Fork Line to the Floor (use Brass Tip Tape Measure or measure from top of Ruler).
Cross Fork (crotch) – Measure around the top part of the leg at the crotch - Take this Measure with the tips of 2 fingers inside the tape.
Thigh – Measure around the widest part of the upper leg Thigh Muscle - Take this Measure with the tips of 2 fingers inside the tape.
Knee – Measure around the widest part of the leg at the Knee - Take this Measure with the tip of 1 finger inside the tape.
Ankle – Measure around the Ankle Bone - Take this Measure with the tip of 1 finger inside the tape.
Trouser Inside Leg Length – Measure from Cross Fork Line to the Required position (at the Heel of the Shoe) (use Brass Tip Tape Measure or measure from top of Ruler).
Trouser Hem Width – Place tape around the Shoe Heel brining the ends together at the front at the desired width.
