This large family of artists flourished from the early nineteenth century to the mid twentieth century.
One of the Clark family's many "Runaway Horse" paintings
Further branches of the family included several notable heraldic artists, and others who achieved success in the world of music and entertainment. Their stories appear in the Clark Family Connections section of the menu.
Many of the Clarks were prolific in their output of art. There are hundreds of past and present auction results freely available to view online, and their paintings are regularly offered for sale on Ebay. The Gallery section here features a selection of Clark and Collings paintings besides those shown on the biography pages.
Signature examples, where available, are provided to help owners correctly identify their paintings.
The Family Tree page shows at a glance how all the Clark and Collings artists were related.
This study is an ongoing project, as new information comes to light it will be added to the site. Contributions from descendants or anyone else with further knowledge of the Clark family would be most appreciated. Any photographs of the artists or their paintings which could be added to the biographies are particularly welcome. Please see the Contact section for details of how to get in touch.
