Short bio

Since october 2017, I am a R&I Engineer at Telecom ParisTech, in Prof. Tamy Boubekeur's Computer Graphics groupMy research focuses on the automated and interactive control of the "look-dev" pipeline (cameras, lights, editing) in 3D worlds, and their combination into smart tools for virtual prototyping. My topics lie at the crossroads of Arts, Computer Graphics, Artificial Intelligence, Multimedia and Human-Computer Interaction.
I am currently taking part to the AllegoRI project, an ANR LabCom with the Allegorithmic company (world leader in texturing), in which context I am focusing on interactive rendering and lighting design problems (aka inverse-lighting).

After working as a R&I engineer at Newcastle University (UK), on the FP7 Network of Excellence IRIS (Integrating Research in Interactive Storytelling) in 2010I have completed a PhD in Computer Science at University of Rennes (France) in 2013; my thesis topic was on Virtual Camera Control (see Publications). Between 2013 and 2017, I have then spent one year as an Assistant Professor (ATER) at University of Rennes, and three years as a postdoctoral fellow and R&I engineer at Inria (one year in Grenoble, and two years in Rennes).


NEW Oct. 2017 I joined the Computer Graphics Group of Prof. Tamy Boubekeur, at Telecom ParisTech.
Oct. 2016  Our CineViz project (2016-2019) has just started in october. Its goal is to co-develop the next generation of previsualisation technologies for the movie industry together with SolidAnim (Paris / Los Angeles).
May 2016 We presented a Tutorial on Algorithms and Techniques for Virtual Camera Control at Eurographics 2016See the tutorial materials.
Sep 2015The first release of the ToricCam library is available, with examples of use. ToricCam enables computing simple cases of one-shots and two-shots, relying on the 2D Manifold surface [Lino & Christie, 2012], as well as it provides the core code required to rely on the Toric Space viewpoint representation [Lino & Christie, 2015]
