Ishigaki & Iriomote Decenber 2024

Ishigaki and Iriomote are part of the Yaeyama islands, an archipelago in the south-west corner of the Okinawa prefecture. They are closer to Taiwan than the main island of Okinawa. We had not heard of them until I started looking for affordable flights and destinations from central Japan. A search on Google Flights lead to booking the Japan Airlines flights. We flew there from Osaka, KIX and returned to Tokyo, Haneda. Peak tourist season is in the summer time.
