Ski Week in France
We spent a week at Meribel in the French Alps
We stayed in this chalet on a British packaged trip. It included breakfasts, high tea and dinners.
We often took the bubble cars up to the top.
The resort food prices were steep, so we opted for cheese and baguettes in the bubble cars.
We skied from opening to closing each day
We brought our old telemark gear and our legs sure got a work-out.
Week-ends in Paris
Musée d’Orsay houses one of the world's best collections of impressionist paintings. We arrived for opening, immediately took the elevator up to the 5th floor and enjoyed the collection before the daily crowds arrived
Claude Monet's Water Lilies are kept in the Musée de l'Orangerie. Opening time provided some time to see paintings, unobstructed.
The Mona Lisa at the Louvre attracted attention at opening.
The Eiffel Tower proved to be irresistible. and looks like a large copy of the Blackpool tower.
Montmarte, of course.
