It is a Staunton alike set.

It is basically a basic club set with rounded knights.

www.chess-museum.com says this could be a chess set made in the former GDR (German Democratic Republic ) /DDR (Deutsche Demokratische Republik).

Also, there seems to be some consensus in Internet about this fact

Anyway this set has been branded as a Playtime & Hobbies chess set

So it is not clear if at any time it has been manufactured or sold in the former DDR and imported and branded as a Playtime & Hobbies product afterwards or it is just an English set. Anyway similar sets can be found in Internet with a clear DDR reference:

I bought 2 in 2016 in second hand market. One of them with the Playtime & Hobbies logo in the box.

Plastic natural and black, not weighted, solid plastic.

This set has a king of 92mm-38mm and a pawn of 45mm-25mm. It suits best in 50mm chessboards.
