Develop these sections to demonstrate that your work in the ChemE curriculum has equipped you with the credentials or competencies required for graduation in your academic program or work in a ChemE-related field. In your capstone courses your instructors may provide you with specific prompts they want you to address for each competency. Otherwise, you may use the reflection questions included with each outcome to help you write essays that demonstrate a particular competency.
TAMU Student Learning Outcomes
Prepare each reflection as a coherent essay that is supported by details, i.e., evidence that convinces the reader of the claims you make. Consider including the final version of the assessment (the report, contract, etc.) or other artifacts with the reflection. Of course, you will first need to apply any recommended edits and corrections before attaching the document to the reflection. However, remember that the attachment/artifact does NOT speak for itself; it is simply further evidence of the claims made in your reflection. For more information on how to write clear, meaningful reflections, see the handouts provided in the Resources section.
