Crime Update to 1st Oct.
Painswick Road, reported at 6.15pm 28th Sept. that two males had been disturbed breaking into a house by smashing the rear French doors. Males desc. as being 6ft tall slim build wearing dark blue raincoats and neck wraps. Both left the scene on old push bikes in the direction of Suffolk Road. Nothing stolen just the damage to the door. Inc. 353 28-09-2021 Tivoli
Marle Hill Road (again) during the early hours of 27th Sept. an insecure ground floor window opened further but entry was not possible at this point. A yellow and orange bike which was insecure in the garden was stolen. Inc. 183 27-09-2021 St Pauls
West Approach Drive, at 6.15pm 28th Sept an alarm was activated on a house, officers attended and found that entry had been gained by smashing a glass panel in rear French doors with rocks from the garden. Bedroom searched with jewellery being stolen. Inc. 354 28-09-2021 Pittvile
Clarence Street, St Mary with St Matthews Church, reported at 5pm on 29th Sept. that lead had been stolen from the church roof and an attempt had been made to remove more. The theft had caused a serious leak in the roof causing damage. Have you seen anyone on the roof or carrying the lead away at ground level. Inc. 304 29-09-2021 Town Centre
Painswick Road, overnight of the 29th 30th Sept a car on the roadside was entered via unknown means and searched through. Stolen were a pair of walking books and a vehicle trip computer. Inc. 300 30-09-2021 Tivoli
Always lock all doors and windows when you leave your house, go into the garden and when you retired to bed. Cycles must be kept secured overnight in sheds or garages by the use of a heavy duty chain bolted to the frame of the building or into a ground anchor. Do not leave them unattended in gardens.
