THANKS to everyone for all of the efforts at the local level to host a fabulous Step Up the summer.  Our review from national include a mention of how great our vounteers were and that we had a lot of various support.  We definitely could not have done it without the help of so many people.

Hosting a summer program helps ensure that our JB receives future invites to other programs.  We need everyone's help to sustain our local Chapter.  We have seen growth in recent years and want to keep it up!

National Board Meeting is Thursday October 24 - Sunday October 27 in Cincinnati, OH.  The Junior Branch has their meeting at the same time.  If you want more information, please let us know!

CISV provides a range of unique, educational group activities, which develop cross-cultural understanding in children, youth and adults from around the world. By encouraging respect for cultural differences and the development of self-awareness, CISV empowers each participant to incorporate these values into their lives as they become global citizens and strive for a more peaceful world. The Chattanooga chapter of CISV was established in 1978 by Dr. Fred and Nancy Wright. It continues through the active involvement of the local community.

"I had an idea once, while I was in New York. At the time I was living in Cincinnati, and when I got home the idea just wouldn't go away. But I wondered, 'What shall I do with it? Will anyone understand?'

Finally, I found the courage to tell a few people about this idea... and somehow these people did understand, did see the vision, and it began to take form. The idea lived and demanded expression...
